    (UPDATED 10/8/2020)

Wings Academy has created a Return to School Plan to keep our students, staff, families and communities informed. The plan provides guidance from federal, state and local entities on the COVID-19 pandemic. Our hope is to provide as much information as possible to our Wings community on when students will return back to school. We will continually update this plan to provide you with the latest updates. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please email us at support at wingsnation dot org.

  • ***UPDATED (9/30) ***Student Information Regarding Classes

When Should You Come to School for Your Classes?

In order to ensure social distancing, students who are coming to school for classes (blended learning) will be coming in smaller groups on different days. We will be using a six day cycle for classes, with students in school for two school days in a row, and learning from home for the next four school days. Students will be organized into three groups, A, B, and C. The cycle will be AA (Day 1 and 2), BB (Day 3 and 4), CC (Day 5 and 6). The A group comes for 2 days, then the B group for 2 days, and then the C group for 2 days.

The D group are the students who will be learning from home full time (remote).

All students will follow their schedules remotely for the first three days, from Wednesday to Friday, September 16th-18th. Students must use their Wings Nation email/account and follow their schedules each day. In school classes start on Monday, September 21st.

Students should click on the link below that corresponds to their grade to see which group they are assigned.  Students should look for their OSIS number (9 digit ID) and see if they are in A, B, or C. (Note this list may not show recent requests submitted for full time remote instruction.)

9th Grade Groups      10th Grade Groups        11th Grade Groups                 12th Grade Groups

The link below is the calendar that tells students the dates they should come to the school for their classes (remember to check the date with the group number). On the days students are home, they should follow their schedule and sign into their classes.

    CLASS SCHEDULES

You can now see your class schedules on PupilPath. Contact the school and speak to Ms. Claudio if you need your PupilPath account login information.

Here is the link to access: The New Bell Schedule. (Period 1 starts at 8:30am)

9TH GRADERS: YOUR WINGS NATION ACCOUNTS

Ninth graders all have Wings Nation accounts/emails now. Students will use these to sign into their classes online and receive emails from their teachers that will let them link into those classes.

Emails are in this format: lastname.firstname@wingsnation.org. (no capitals). Therefore, if your name is Miles Davis, your email is davis.miles@wingsnation.org.

Students default email password is Wings123 . (Make sure you capitalize the W). Change it right away to another password, and keep track of that password.

Here is the link to sign in: Wings Nation GMail account

You will be getting emails from your teachers with links into your online classes.

If you have any questions, you can email support@wingsnation.org.

Thank you and looking forward to seeing everyone!

  • Welcome back, In-Person Learning begins tomorrow, October 1st!

Hello Wings Academy Scholars and families!

We are looking forward to seeing our In-Person Scholars tomorrow, October 1st!

The staff have been preparing our school building to be as safe and welcoming as possible. We have wall thermometers, wall signage and floor markings, our ventilation system has been inspected/passed, and we have established a few procedures as you when you get to and enter the building. We hope you are as excited as we are!

If you haven't done so, please familiarize yourselves with our Return to School Plan which is updated frequently. Also, there are many forms scholars and families need to fill out. We are looking to become more efficient so we will begin to utilize an online system to quickly look up any forms that our scholars and families completed. The latest form that we need all families to complete is the Student COVID-19 Testing Consent Form. We have also attached it for your convenience.

Lastly just a few reminders as you begin your In-Person days with us beginning tomorrow:

    1. Tomorrow, October 1st is "A" day. Friday, October 2nd is "B" day!
    2. Charge your devices every night
    3. Bring your devices every day
    4. Doors will open at 8:00am
    5. Scholars will swipe their ID's or write down their name in the attendance book
    6. Scholars enter the building and wait in the cafeteria until the bell rings
    7. Breakfast is served from 8:00am-8:20am
    8. Please complete the Health Screening survey prior to coming to school (It will make your entry as smooth as possible)
    9. Don't forget to use your DOE email accounts. (It will make your logging into all school applications as easy as possible)
    10. When you enter the building, you must have your temperature checked (We have a wall thermometer right when you walk in)
    11. Stay to the right when walking around the school building
    12. Wear face coverings at all times (You may remove them when eating breakfast and lunch)
    13. When going to the restroom or office, sign-out in the teachers logbook
    14. Only one scholar at a time in the restroom
    15. Ask questions and let us know how we can improve
    16. All scholars will exit at the end of the day using Exit 2
    17. Smile and enjoy the learning experience!
We want to wish everyone a great first "In-Person" day. Remember, we are all in this together and will learn how to get through this together. We will do our very best to provide you with the best education you deserve. Please don't hesitate to ask us questions. We are here to help you and guide you through these challenging times.

    Warm regards,
